To the Editor,
The Shoreline Caucus (aka Tea Party) claims Rob McKenna has a “clear-cut” conservative vision. I rolled out of my chair onto the floor gagging when I heard that load of hooey. McKenna is the man who told us in his opening statement that he doesn’t have a clue as to how to fund his desire to increase “public” (read “socialized” btw) education. Great – I have a lot of wonderful plans that I don’t have a clue on how to achieve – I don’t need leaders who are this clueless making more empty promises they can’t keep. Second, I have had personal correspondence with Rob McKenna wherein he advocates continuing the state sponsored terrorism against citizens for simply making free choices of what substances to put into their bodies. He advocates building large snooping bureaucracies that invade our privacy and take away our freedoms as to what plants we can grow for our food and therapeutic use - and to engage in violence against us when we don’t comply with his religious dictates.
The one thing I know is that we don’t need a big government fascist like Rob McKenna leading WA State.

I would like to clarify that the correspondence that I have is from Mr. McKenna's office (Attorney General of Washington) specifically written on his behalf and signed by the Senior Assistant Attorney General. The content is clear - Rob McKenna advocates violence against peaceful citizens of Washington since he does not like the specific flowers and leaves they choose to put into their bodies for their benefit. To keep it real - Federal Rep Jay Inslee advocates the same destruction in our community (based on both correspondence and personal conversation). Pathetic. We need governance by those whose primary goals are the fundamental human and civil rights of ALL peaceful citizens - beginning with living peacefully in one's own home. Greg.
ReplyDeleteUsing the word fascist for McKenna, or any person I've known on either side of the isle - even those I really don't like - is wholly inappropriate, divisive and ignorant. Please look up fascism before you use it so casually. It is ironic that divisive, inflammatory use of language was a hallmark of actual fascists.
ReplyDelete"To keep it real..."
ReplyDeleteHa! You're not keeping it real, you are afraid to come out and say what you mean: You like pot and want it legalized. McKenna doesn't and because you disagree on that point, you feel justified in making derogatory personal attacks on him.
