Enjoy building trails with experts from the Volunteers for Outdoor Washington on any or all of these three Saturdays: May 7, 14 and 21 from 9am-2:30pm.
You can work with knowledgeable trail-builders who will be constructing access trails through the forest in Grace Cole Nature Park, located at NE 166 Street and 30th Avenue NE.
Access the park by turning south off NE 178th Street on 28th Avenue NE. Follow 28th Avenue NE straight for about 3/4 mile and you will see the park on your right just before the road makes a big curve to the left.
Work parties will gather at 9am and work until 2:30pm, or as long as you can stay. Tools and gloves will be provided. Please bring your lunch and water. And please wear sturdy shoes.
Adults and students are encouraged to participate. Students may earn community service hours. (Please bring a signed release form if you are under the age of 18.) These forms are available at your school or from Mamie at mamiejb@hotmail.com.
If you are available for any of these work parties contact Annik Wolfe at 206-368-3688.
