Update: Shorewood-Shorecrest baseball playoff game postponed from Saturday to Monday

The baseball playoff game between Shorewood and Shorecrest scheduled for Saturday, May 7, has been cancelled and postponed until Monday, May 9 at Shorewood.

All four Northwest District 3A tournament first-round games were canceled for Saturday and rescheduled for 4:30 pm Monday.  Shorewood hosts Shorecrest.

If any games in the District tournament are canceled due to weather, all are canceled so that pitchers don't gain an advantage because of time for rest between games. The four first-round games were scheduled for Mount Vernon, Mountlake Terrace, Oak Harbor and Shorewood.

The Northwest District web site shows all four games rescheduled for Monday, with second-round games Tuesday, losers’ bracket semifinals Wednesday, and the championship and third-place games scheduled for Saturday, May 14, with the top three teams qualifying for regional play May 21.

The Shorewood-Shorecrest winner will play in a District semifinal game Tuesday against the winner of the game between Mountlake Terrace and Ferndale. The losers of the two games will meet Tuesday in an elimination game.
