from the Shoreline Police department

The Shoreline Police Department is seeking volunteers to staff the Police Neighborhood Centers. Police volunteers are a vital part of Shoreline’s Community Oriented Policing Team.

Some of the activities volunteers assist with include victim follow-up calls, court reminder calls, false alarm tracking and citations, vacation house checks, senior interaction group, community projects and events, pet licensing, residential and business crime prevention surveys, Operation ID, Block Watch, Business Watch mapping, newsletters and neighborhood flyers, handle incoming calls, answer questions and direct residents to resources.

Volunteers must be willing to commit at least four hours per week and be able to work independently. Willingness to attend the annual Citizen's Academy and a background check through the King County Sheriff’s Office is required.
