Shoreline Community College Summer Athletic Camps for kids

The Athletic Department at Shoreline Community College has announced a full slate of basketball and volleyball camps for kids during the summer of 2011. The SCC Athletic webpage has information on dates and times.

Basketball camps will be taught by SCC head basketball coaches, Greg Turcott and James Johnson. First year head coach James Johnson, who led the Lady Dolphins to a 4 game improvement in wins in 2010-11, will lead two all-skill camps and a position camp for boys and girls from the 4th grade to 8th grade and will have a team camp for high school and middle schools teams as well. SCC Men’s Basketball Coach Greg Turcott will host two all-skill camps for boys and girls plus have two weekend high school basketball tournaments over the summer. Coach Turcott's camps will focus on 4th graders to 9th graders. For more information, call Coach Turcott at 206-375-2828.

Volleyball: Long time SCC coaches, Raquel and Mark West, will lead a large number of general and specialized camps for all ages this summer. The SCC Volleyball Team was the NWAACC Northern Region Champions in 2010 and SCC volleyball staff is ready to share their knowledge with young volleyball players this summer. • Libero/Setters Camp 8th -12th grades
• High School Camp 9th -12th grades
• Setter/Hitter’s Camp 8th -12th grades
