SCC Spring Sports Week In Review: Softball as of May 9, 2011

The Lady Dolphin Softball Team was rained out on Saturday against Skagit Valley College. The game will be made up on Wednesday at Skagit Valley.

The SCC squad enters the last week of the regular season with a 12-12-1 record, 12-6 in the NWAACC Northern Region and in third place in the region, percentage points behind Everett CC (11-5 in region) for second place. Bellevue College is ranked number in the NWAACC and is leading the region with a 18-0 league record and 29-1 overall.

Shoreline faces Douglas College on Tuesday at Shoreview Park at 1:00 pm, goes to Skagit Valley on Wednesday and finishes the regular season on Saturday by hosting Everett CC at 2:00 pm in what could be the games to determine 2nd place in the region and a higher seed in the NWAACC Softball Championship, May 20-13, at Delta Park in Portland, OR. The top four teams in each of the NWAACC four regions goes to the NWAACC Championship.
