The Shoreline Community College Baseball Team’s struggles continue as they dropped four games to Everett Community College on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday were bitter losses at Memorial Stadium in Everett, as Alex Kelly pitched a gem of a game, allowing 3 hits and having 6 strikeouts over 8.3 innings, but losing the game on a balk in the bottom of ninth in a 1-0 defeat. SCC also lost the second by the score of 4-1 after leading early 1-0. Kacy Miyasato doubled for the Dolphins in the second game.

The SCC squad is suffering through a 12 game losing streak, which includes four games by 1 run and 1 game by 2 runs. Shoreline is 2-18 in the tough NWAACC Northern Region and 8-27 overall. Everett moved to 16-4 in the region and 26-8 overall, and are ranked 5th in the NWAACC and in second place behind Bellevue College in the Northern region, BC is #1 ranked team in the NWAACC.
SCC will face rival Edmonds Community College next weekend in their final region series of the year. Edmonds is 22-14 on the season, 11-9 in the region, good enough for 3rd place. SCC plays at Edmonds on Saturday, May 14 at 1:00 pm and comes back to Lower Woodland Park on Sunday, May 15 for their final doubleheader of the year at 1:00 pm as well.
