The Lady Dolphin Softball Team won 4 our 6 games during week, sweeping doubleheaders from Olympic College and Edmonds Community College but the SCC squad found themselves on the wrong side of swept against the NWAACC #1 ranked team in Bellevue.
Shoreline defeated Olympic College 5-1, 10-2 on Tuesday, April 26 at Shoreview Park. Then the Lady Dolphins defeated Edmonds on Friday, April 29, 22-1 and 13-1 at Shoreview as well.
On Sunday, May 1, the SCC squad faced the powerful Bellevue squad on their home field of Shoreview Park and stayed with the Lady Bulldogs in both games during the early innings but the Bellevue bats proved to be too potent as BC hammered 5 homeruns in the doubleheader and pulled away from Shoreline in both games. The final scores were 12-2 and 10-2.
Shoreline is now 12-12-1 for the season and 12-6 in the NWAACC Northern Region. SCC is in second place in the region with 6 games left and should qualify for the NWAACC Softball Championship for the 4th straight year. Bellevue is 27-1 overall and 16-0 in the region.
