The film, “for my wife…” will be shown at 6 pm on Friday, May 6, at Shoreline Unitarian Universalist Church, 14724 1st Ave NE, Shoreline.

This 60-minute documentary puts a human face on the national debate about LGBT marriage equality. Discussion time will follow this pay-what-you-can screening.

Faced with tragedy and humiliating discrimination at her partner's deathbed, Charlene Strong rose to prominence as an equal-rights advocate and helped pass Washington State's Domestic Partnership laws. This is a universal story about love, dignity, and fighting for what is right.
