Glad Chase has time for this while the state descends deeper into financial bankruptcy.

@11:12 am - it's the weekend--Sunday morning even, the legislature isn't in session, so what's your beef?

Senator Chase has been fantastic this year - she sponsored an amendment to a bill that would have prevented the citizens from voting on the purchase of the water system by the Shoreline from Seattle -- it's required under decades old state law and the city tried to pass it through the legislature without the citizens knowing about it. Senator Chase put a stop to it by preserving the democratic process - it is going to cost over $50 million to buy the water system with no guarantee of an improvement in service and it will be paid for with a revenue bond. So now it's back to whether or not at least 60% of the citizens of the City of Shoreline want to pass more government debt to buy a system just for the pride of ownership, if the city got their way we never would have had a chance to vote but Senator Chase preserved our right to a vote. Got a problem with that?

Yes, I do. Wonder how that fiddling is doing Nero?

Hmm, keep paying (plus a 14% premium) to a utility that I don't own and have no representation on (no recourse). Or, have the city where I live and can vote and have representation own it and maintain it with no additional increase in what I pay. Kind of seems a no brainer to me.

Gee, thanks Maralyn. When will the people in this district wake up to how detrimental you are.
