Weather Highlights:
- Tuesday-Thursday: The heavy rains expected from the Atmospheric river were shielded from the Shoreline and Lake Forest Park area by the Olympic mountain range. This is known as the Olympic Mountain Rain shadow, normally effecting places like Port Angeles and Sequim.
- Friday: The direction of the same but now weaker front shifted and now the weather system is currently effecting our area with over an inch of rain. However we’re not getting the 4 inches originally expected, thankfully.
Weather for the coming week:
It’s going to be cooler than normal, not by a lot however, with various weather fronts moving through generating the spring rain storms we typically get this time of year. I don’t think we’ll have any major 1 inch plus drenchers next week.
