Earth Day Every Day 2011

Earth Day 2011 provides an opportunity to remember that our everyday choices affect the community, environment and planet. Everything we do matters and every little bit helps. The City is celebrating Earth Day through three separate events in April.

Earth Day at Central Market April 16

Learn how to make at difference at our Earth Day Every Day event on Saturday, April 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Central Market. Sample products and learn about new eco-living tips and tools for your home and yard.

Earth Day work party at Saltwater Park April 23

Participate in stewardship at the Earth Day Work Party on Saturday, April 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Richmond Beach Saltwater Park. Help remove invasive species and restore the ecosystem of our coastal bluffs.

Recycle Fest April 30

Recycle Fest provides an opportunity to recycle many of the items that don't normally go in your recycling bin such as home remodeling debris, scrap metal, shingles and bicycles. Recycle Fest is Saturday, April 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Aurora and 192nd Street Park & Ride. Watch for a flyer in your mailbox with a list of items you can bring.
