Shoreline Wrestling Invitational results from Saturday, January 8

19th Annual Shoreline Wrestling Invitational at Shorewood High School

Shorewood put eight wrestlers into the finals and won the first three weight classes as the Thunderbirds tried to win their first ever team title. Bellevue wrestlers stopped Shorewood's title aspirations short by winning four straight individual championships by pin to seal the victory for the Wolverines.

Shorewood placed second in the team standings, with Shorecrest third.

Shorewood's three individual champions were Alex Lee in the 103-pound division, Matthew Floresca at 112 and Brandon Leach at 119.

For Shorecrest, Drew Arbinson placed first in the 160-pound division, and Ian Bolstad was the best heavyweight.

Shorewood had five second-place finishers; Shorecrest had one second place and two thirds.
