Yikes - Shoreline police broke the burglary ring case and we had a few weeks of peace. Now it looks like more bad guys are coming in to fill the gap.
Burglaries all over the place
12-04...199xx Ballinger. Residential burglary at sex offender boarding house.
12-08...144xx NW 191. Mother on vacation. Daughter went to check house and found front door open. Burglar used hidden key.
12-10...145xx Evanston N. Residential burglary. Booted back door, stole laptop.
12-10...6xx NW 182. Man appears to be casing the street. White male, medium build, driving red Toyota 4Runner.
12-14...145xx Ashworth N. Burglary. Someone broke the window and reached in to open the door. Police responded to alarm but did not apprehend burglar.
12-14...156xx 2 NW. Residential burglary. Single story house in quiet neighborhood. Suspect threw a rock through rear window to get in house.
12-15...8xx NE 195. Unknown suspects entered unsecured, detached shop and stole tools while owner was in house.

12-05...14810 Aurora, Econolodge. Two women in physical fight. One arrested for disorderly conduct.
12-08...195xx Aurora. Stolen vehicle. Two females seen leaving from the car. K-9 track with negative results. Property from the stolen car submitted into evidence.
12-09...175xx Aurora. DUI collision. Female driver had blood alcohol reading of .331.

12-08...160xx Wallingford. Boyfriend/girlfriend get in fight over her ex-BF. She rips his shirt and scratches him. Booked on 4th degree assault.
12-10...16xx N 199. Ex-husband has become increasingly hostile. Ex-wife told by mutual friend that ex had commented about hiring someone to kill her.
Teenaged boys
12-09...3xx NW RB Rd, apartments. Mom returns home from being on job site and discovers that 17 year old son had not been going to school but had been smoking marijuana with the apartment manager. She reported manager.
12-09...15343 25 NE, Shorecrest. Security heard that student A had purchased and stolen Ecstasy from another student and that A was planning a fight in Hamlin Park with some Shorewood students at lunchtime. A was carrying a knife in his backpack.
12-09...15524 N 200, Transit Center. Juvenile smokes marijuana at Transit Center. Released at Spruce St (home for homeless teens). Case referred to prosecutor's office.
12-09...15343 25 NE, Shorecrest. Teacher thought that student might be under the influence. Security could smell an unusual odor. Student had four Spice joints, box of matches, 5 Adderal pills (ADHD meds), and a knife.
12-10...15343 25 NE, Shorecrest. Student left backpack in hall while he went to pick up cookie dough. Backpack stolen, later found in boys' bathroom, minus his laptop.

12-11...20150 Ballinger Wy, Thriftway. Subject Trespassed after shoplifting.
12-13...15332 Aurora, Safeway. Shoplifter caught.
12-13...15332 Aurora, Safeway. 2nd shoplifter caught.
12-13...20330 Ballinger, Rite Aid. Employee found shopping cart in aisle with ten display boxes of Nautica and Izon which had been cut open and emptied.
Theft - diamonds, identity, cell phone - storm grate? Good grief.
12-09...155xx Corliss N. Fraud on bank account. Someone created a fake check with victim's account info.
12-10...173xx 1 NW. Identity theft.
12-12...7xx NE 189. Stolen cell phone tracked down with GPS. No charges are being filed.
12-13...149xx 1 NE, Aegis Living. Victim left her diamond ring on her night table in her private apartment and it went missing.
12-13...186xx Bagley Pl N. Bank called about someone trying to cash her check. Apparently stolen from mail box.
12-13...198xx Aurora, Bucky's Auto Shop. Man reported that diamond engagement ring was missing from under driver's seat after work was done at auto shop.
12-14...19528 Echo Lake Pl, Echo Shores Condo. Storm grate taken from parking lot some time during the night.
12-14...190xx 1 NE, Shoreline Center. Victim parked vehicle to play in a sporting event and left his wallet in plain view on center console. Window broken, wallet gone.

12-11...3xx NE Serpentine Pl. Vandalism. Front and rear driver's side windows broken.
12-13...7xx N 148. Car prowl. Entry method unknown, no damage to lock or door. Parked in driveway of residence.
12-13...152xx 6 NE. Abandoned car. Reported via hotline.
Not firing on all cylinders
12-09...145xx 15 NE. Women gives $130 to man to buy a cell phone but he doesn't give her the phone.
12-11...N 185/Stone N. Driver stopped in roadway. Cited for negligent driving.
12-12...15730 Aurora N, Deals on Wheels. Employee angers homeless woman and she goes ballistic at him with a baseball bat and coffee cup. Thrown cup breaks window. No charges at this time.
12-13...195xx Aurora, Days Inn. Woman allowed a subject she had only known a couple of days access to her bank account to make purchases for her. She claims that the subject took money he was not supposed to. Civil problem, possibly mental.
12-13...151xx Stone N, apartments. Man with Aspergers syndrome hears voices telling him to kill himself or kill others.
12-14...16xx N 175. BiPolar grandson with drug and alcohol problems lives with Grandmother. Stole her debit card, PIN and took cash from account.
Gang-related?
12-14...14xx NW RB Rd, apartments. Manager found small graffitti last week, did not report, but cleaned it up. Sometime over weekend, someone painted large graffitti on doors. Gang signs.
12-14...19939 Ballinger, Smoke Time, Group of subjects entered store and stole items.

12-11...163xx Densmore. Citizen turns in old ammunition for disposal.
12-12...23xx N 178. Death, apparent natural causes.
12-12...7xx N 185, Highlands West Dental. 911 hang-up with no contact.
12-15...2358 N 194. Vandalism.
12-15...182xx Midvale N, Chase Bank. Customer parked in bank parking lot. When she opened her car door she might have hit the car next to her. That car's owner spit on her. Charged with 4th degree assault.
