  • Static in the air: Tuesday morning, about a quarter til 1 AM we had a group of thunderstorms roll through the area dumping a little over a quarter inch of rain.
  • Freezing: Friday morning frost and ice in places due to clear skies and radiative cooling.
  • More freezing: Friday night clear skies leading to even stronger radiative cooling with frost, ice and black ice in places.
Weather for the coming week
I don't think we have anything really exciting to store for us this week. The National Weather Service long range forecasters are still calling for a colder and wetter than normal winter with Puget Sound low land snow events (This includes the Shoreline area) possible from time to time, especially in January and February. Their latest update was on December 9th 2010. So keep things winterized, we haven't even officially started winter yet.
