Monday morning's low was 32.4°F with frost in most places.
Wednesday morning we had a severe band of thunderstorms develop and blow through as a rare weather front called a Bow Echo.
Weather for the coming week
We are expecting 1-4 inches of rain between Saturday the 11th and Monday night of the 13th, all thanks to a weather pattern which is now called an Atmospheric River, previously known as the Pineapple Express.
This pattern usually consists of warm tropical moisture heading northeast from Hawaii and pointed by the jet stream straight at the Pacific Northwest.
Rain is expected to start Saturday evening. Saturday morning and afternoon may be a good time to make sure all storm drains are clear of debris and that sump pumps are in working order.
Keep an eye on those steep hill sides Monday and later throughout the week for the potential of mud and land slides.
Aurora Ave N in the construction zone will likely have standing water as it did in earlier fall rain storms due to the incomplete road grading and storm drainage, especially between N 175th and N 185th on the north bound side. Drive carefully and stay dry.
This is a useful report. Thanks.
