Shorewood girls fall to 0-2 after loss to Stanwood Thursday

The Shorewood girls’ basketball team dropped its record to 0-2 after losing to Stanwood of the Wesco 4A north division, 62-30, in a Thursday home game.

Shorewood had opened its season Tuesday with a home loss to Ferndale of the Northwest League 3A division.

The Thunderbirds open Wesco 3A play Friday, Dec. 10, with a 7:30 p.m. game at Mountlake Terrace.

Stanwood got off to a hot start Thursday and outscored the T-birds in every quarter.

Lisa Echert scored nine points to lead Shorewood.
