Shorewood girls drop basketball opener 56-50 to Ferndale

The Shorewood girls lost their basketball opener 56-50 Tuesday to Ferndale of the Northwest League 3A division.

Masha Shtikel scored a team-high 27 points to help Shorewood cut a 14-point deficit to six in the second half of the home game.

The Thunderbirds of the Wesco3A play next against 2A South Whidbey at home Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
