Shorewood boys finish December with 2-2 record after Tuesday victory over Everett

The Shorewood boys’ basketball team finished the December part of its schedule with a 2-2 Wesco 3A record (4-3 overall) after a 70-54 victory at Everett (1-3 Wesco 3A, 3-5 overall) Tuesday.

The Thunderbirds’ next game is January 4 at home against Wesco 3A rival Glacier Peak.

In the 70-54 win over Everett Tuesday, Gage Carroll led Shorewood with 23 points. Three other Thunderbirds scored in double figures: Peter Berquist, 14 Josh Hawkinson 13 and Ben Andrews 11. Shorewood stretched a 32=29 halftime lead to 50-42 after three quarters and 70-54 at the end.

For the first seven games of the season, Carroll, Hawkinson and Berquist are each averaging more than 10 points per game, with Andrews averaging 9.0.
