Shorecrest girls fall to 0-2 after one-point loss Monday to Arlington

The Shorecrest girls’ basketball team dropped its record to 0-2 after a one-point home loss Monday to undefeated Arlington of the Wesco 4A North.

The Scots had opened their season Nov. 30 with a 78-50 loss at Edmonds-Woodway of the Wesco 4A South.

Shorecrest opens Wesco 3A play Friday with a 7:30 p.m. home game against Glacier Peak (0-2).

Arlington (3-0) came from behind in the fourth quarter Monday for a 56-55 victory.

Janie Uppinghouse led Shorecrest with 20 points, including five 3-point goals. Brianne Lasconia had 17 points, and and India Matheson added eight points and 14 rebounds.
