Shorecrest boys win basketball opener at Stanwood, 68-62

The Shorecrest boys won their basketball opener at Stanwood, 68-62, Tuesday night.

Emmanuel Chibuogwu Jr. had 28 points and Keith Shattuck added 17 to lead the 3A Scots over Wesco 4A North Stanwood. Shattuck scored five 3-point goals, Chibuogwu 2

Shorecrest led by 14 points after the first quarter and hung on for the victory.

The Scots open their home season Thursday at 7:30 p.m. against Kamiak of the Wesco 4A South.
