The Shorecrest boys’ basketball team takes a 1-2 record into a Wednesday home game with undefeated Edmonds-Woodway after two losses on a weekend trip to Southwest Washington.
The Scots lost Saturday to Hudson's Bay of Vancouver, 71-54 after a Friday loss to Battle Ground.
The two losses came after Shorecrest of the Wesco 3A had opened its season with a victory over Stanwood of the Wesco 4A North.
Edmonds-Woodway of the Wesco 4A South brings an undefeated record into the Wednesday game at Shorecrest after beating Southridge, Ore., and Sultan, a 2A team from the Cascade Conference.
In Shorecrest’s loss to Hudson’s Bay Saturday, Emmanuel Chibuogwu Jr. led the Scots with 27 points. Keith Shattuck scored 16 points, including four 3-point goals.
Chibuogwu has scored 72 points in Shorecrest’s three games.
