The Shorecrest boys’ basketball team finished its December Wesco 3A schedule with a 64-40 home loss to Meadowdale Tuesday.
The game broke a tie for second place in the Wesco 3A standings. Meadowdale’s victory gave the Mavericks sole possession of second place with a 3-1 league record (3-5 overall) behind first place Glacier Peak (4-0, 5-2) Shorecrest fell to 2-2, 4-5.
The Scots take that 4-5 overall record into a Wednesday non-league game against Roosevelt of the Kingco 4A league.
Shorecrest will resume Wesco 3A play January 4 at Mountlake Terrace.
In the 64-40 loss to Meadowdale Tuesday, Ryan Canfield led the Scots with 12 points on four 3-point goals. Meadowdale outscored Shorecrest in every quarter of the lopsided game.
