The Shoreline Community College Men’s Basketball Team remains ranked #8 in the NWAACC Men’s Basketball Poll released yesterday.
The Dolphins are 7-3 on the season, and finished 3rd out of eight teams in the NWAACC Crossover Tournament held at the SCC Gym December 17-19.
SCC has played in three tournaments during the pre-region schedule and finished as the consolation winner in two of the tournaments and 3rd place at the crossover.
Two of three of the SCC losses have been to teams ranked higher than them in the NWAACC poll, #2 ranked CC of Spokane and #4 ranked Highline CC, that SCC lost to in the crossover, 73-71 in the tournament semifinals.
SCC defeated #6 ranked Clackamas CC from Oregon in the CC of Spokane tournament. Region foe Whatcom CC is ranked #1 and the only undefeated NWAACC team still left standing. Four of the teams in the recent crossover tournament hosted by SCC are ranked or in the “Others” receiving votes.
NWAACC Top Eight Poll:
- Whatcom CC 8-0 66 points
- CC of Spokane 8-4 59 points

SCC returns to the basketball court on January 5, as it opens its Northern Region schedule on the road at Bellevue College and returns home on January 12 in its home Northern Region opener against Olympic College.
