The Seattle Choral Company, a community choral group now in its 29th year, boasts ten singers from Shoreline and Lake Forest Park, and their founder and director, Fred Coleman, is from Kenmore.
"The group has continued to evolve and grow," said Shoreline resident and singer Ken Foote, "and Fred continues to stretch us to excel."
Besides their annual concert series, the choir has performed with the Seattle Symphony, Marvin Hamlish, Doc Severson, and other visiting artists and composers.
This year, the Seattle Girl’s Choir will join the Company in singing the Mass of the Children by John Rutter and a sitar will bring Eric Whitacre’s Winter alive in its Seattle premiere.
The Cathedral Christmas concerts will be performed at two locations this year, Bastyr University Chapel and St. Mark’s Cathedral, both known for their exquisite acoustics.
