Autumn Leaves and Palm Trees

New Englanders like to scoff that we have only two seasons in the Pacific Northwest (no - not Winter and Construction) Summer and Winter.

But we do have a Fall season when all the short trees turn beautiful colors of rust and gold and red. The problem is that usually about three days after the leave turn, we get a storm and the rain pounds the leaves into brown mush on the ground.

It's a good thing that Allan Bain took this picture in Richmond Beach on Friday to prove that we really do have Fall in Shoreline. Send it to all your contacts in New England.
