Trends: Car Prowls. If your car is not locked in a garage, you will eventually be hit by people who specialize in going through cars. It happens in every neighborhood. If your car is locked, they will simply pick up the nearest rock and smash the passenger window. If you have left anything valuable in your car, it will be gone. They seem to favor GPS systems, iPods and chargers, and your stash of parking change. Sometimes they hit pay dirt with wallets, purses, tools, golf clubs and other valuable items. If they get your checks and license, credit/debit cards, you will spend the next six months straightening out your finances.

10-12..18xx N 183. Abandoned vehicle.

These are not kids who are focused on their studies

10-7…17300 Fremont N, Shorewood. Two non-students came on campus to pick a fight with a student.

10-4…18650 1 NE, Stadium. Security intercepted a drunk on his way to the game.

10-5…N 200/Aurora. Traffic accident. Driver DUI.

10-7…N 145/Lenora Pl. Two people appear drunk and disorderly. One has warrants and a crack pipe.

10-8…184/Aurora. Report of drunk walking in the street. Cops found him at bus stop, mixing a cocktail.

10-10..N 145/Aurora. After dark, car with no lights stopped in middle of street. Driver DUI.

10-11..192/Aurora. Drunk next to road.

10-11..N 155/Aurora. Traffic accident. Driver DUI.

That wasn’t much fun – let’s try relationship problems

10-5…1512 NW 195, Horizon Day Care. Boyfriend and girlfriend going daily to day care. Suspect driving victim in a car in violation of court order. (I have no idea who was in violation of what)

10-5…153xx Ashworth. Husband – wife verbal fight.

10-7…Northbound I-5 at 175. Physical fight between boyfriend and girlfriend. BF ran.

10-9…192xx 12 NE. Boyfriend violated no-contact order, grabbed girlfriend by her hair.

10-9…30xx NE 149. Ex-boyfriend strangled (but did not kill) ex-girlfriend, telling her “I’ll show you how we kill people.”

10-10..161xx Stone N. Phone threats from relative.

10-10..173xx 1 NW. Adult brothers get in verbal fight

10-10..145xx Fremont. Boyfriend of seven years punched girlfriend in stomach. She recently had abdominal surgery.

10-12..15252 Aurora, Shari’s. Violation of no-contact order.

Yikes! Those were grim – how about some routine shoplifting?

10-3…1235 N 205, Radio Shack. Shoplifted cell phone.

10-6…15332 Aurora, Safeway. Person filled cart with bottles of wine and tried to leave without paying.

10-6…18325 Aurora, Fred Meyer. Person caught shoplifting.

10-6…17202 15 NE, Safeway. Person stole two cases of Coke.

10-11..14500 15 NE, Goodwill. One person caught shoplifting. When Security confronted them, a second person pushed Security.

10-6…3xx NE 193. Debit card fraudulently used to make purchases.

10-8…16001 Aurora N, Shoreline Bank. Person tried to cash stolen check.

10-9…5xx N 192, apartments. Phone scam of elderly woman.

10-11..19xx N 192. Unauthorized use of credit card number.

The burglaries

10-5…19xx NE 190. Someone victim knows took $2,000 from drawer in house.

10-7…5xx Serpentine. Stole recording equipment from home and shed.

10-8…145xx Aurora. Burglary.

10-11..19425 Aurora, Independent Auto. Attempted burglary.

10-11..151xx Stone Ln, apartments. Burglary, through window.

10-12..10xx NW 190. Burglary, forced open window.

10-12..192xx 12 NE. Attempted burglary.

The homeless and mentally ill are not welcome to do what they’re doing

9-30…N 155/Westminster, Sears. Man sleeping behind Sears is Registered Sex Offender from Kent.

10-6…753 N 185, Richmond Masonic Hall. Transient sleeping on porch.

10-8…2000 NE Perkins Wy, Cedarbrook School. Guy sleeping in truck on school property.

10-11..184/Aurora. Found female walking in middle of Aurora, reaching out to moving traffic and screaming. Her car was stuck in mud three blocks to the south. Car impounded. (Where do you find that much mud on Aurora? She must have driven into the construction site.)

10-8…N 175/Dayton N. SCC student got on the bus. Man sat next to her and appeared to be (ok, I couldn’t think of any way to describe this, so I’m not.)

10-9…16510 Aurora, 76 Station. Trespass.

10-9…1295 N 205, Starbucks. Trespass.

10-5…Police station. Person turned in blasting caps.

10-6…183xx Dayton N. Dialed 911, meant to dial 411.

10-7…1541 NE 177, Northridge apartments. Plant stolen from balcony.

10-8…12xx NE 169. Served man with warrant from Florida.

10-9…NE 205/1st NE. Known prostitute picked up. Had a crack pipe in her purse.

10-9…19818 15 NE, Forest Creek condos. Hit and run.

10-10..165xx Linden. Death.

10-11..149/Aurora. Driving with suspended license.

10-11..168xx 15 NE. Someone tore down campaign signs from caller’s yard.
