Shorecrest, Shorewood girls’ soccer teams meet Thursday

The Shorecrest and Shorewood girls’ soccer teams meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Shoreline Stadium.
The game is the second meeting of the season between the two teams. Shorecrest won the first game, 2-0, Sept. 25.
Shorewood (7-4 Wesco 3A, 7-6 overall) and Shorecrest (7-5, 7-7) are fighting for fourth place in the Western Conference 3A division. Both already have clinched places in the Northwest District 3A tournament. The top six Wesco 3A teams qualify for the District tournament.
Jennifer Franklin leads Shorewood with seven goals. Teammate Lisa Echert has two goals and six assists. Goal tender Kelsey Jang has four shutouts.
Nicole Harris leads Shorecrest with four goals and two assists.
Shorecrest comes into the game following a 4-0 loss at Everett Tuesday. Shorewood lost to Everett 3-1 Thursday, Sept. 14. Lisa Santroch scored the Shorewood goal.
