Volleyball:
Shelby Souther, a sophomore outside hitter from Snohomish High School, Shelby had 21 kills against Whatcom Community College on Friday, in a thrilling 5 game match victory over the Lady Orcas. Against Everett Community College on Wednesday, Souther had 9 kills and hit .559 in the 3 game victory for the Lady Dolphins. SCC is now 14-7 overall, 3-1 in the NWAACC Northern Region, good enough for second place one third of the way through the conference schedule. SCC plays Olympic College on Wednesday at the SCC gym in a 7:00 PM match.

Men’s Soccer:
Daniel Drevitch, a freshman forward from Seattle Academy, was given the assist on the goal scored by Kevin Flavin, that lead the Dolphins to a tie against the Community College of Spokane. Daniel’s speed and agility in the middle gave the CC of Spokane trouble all match long as the improving SCC squad moved its record to 0-6-2, but has tied the last two games against good competition. The Dolphins plays rival Edmonds CC on Wednesday night at 7:30 PM at Meadowdale High School.
SCC goalkeeper Kaitlin MacKenzie was named the SCC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for her performance in the 1-0 loss to the undefeated Community College of Spokane on Saturday. MacKenzie had several saves in the game to keep SCC close in the match. SCC is 3-4-1 on the season and face Edmonds Community College at 5:30 PM at Meadowdale High School.
