Crews will continue pouring sidewalks and driveways on the south side of N 185th Street. A single eastbound lane will continue to be closed until sidewalks and driveways are completed. Crews hope to open the Bartell Drugs driveway on N 185th Street this week. In the meantime, please continue to use Midvale Avenue to access Bartell Drugs and the Gateway complex. Pedestrians should take care when walking near construction areas and follow posted detour signs.
Interurban Trail opening soon at N 185th Street
The Interurban Trail in the area of N 185th Street and Aurora will potentially be opening this week. Crews will continue installing root boxes, signal bases, sidewalks and driveways. Some structural components of the old Key Bank building found underground in the right-of-way have been complicating final sidewalk installation on N 175th Street; this issue should be resolved soon. The Interuban Trail adjacent to Midvale Avenue is still temporarily closed between N 175th Street and the north driveway to Walgreens.
Temporary partial or full closure of access to N 170th Street from Aurora
Puget Sound Energy (PSE) crews will be relocating gas lines in the vicinity of N 170th Street west of Aurora on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. PSE has not yet determined the space needed to complete this work, but it could result in a partial or full closure of access between N 170th Street and Aurora. Drivers and pedestrians should look for closure or detour signage.
