Letter to the Editor: Cindy Ryu is the clear choice

To the Editor:
I read Ms. Wacker’s recent endorsement letter with some amusement. Yes, educational achievement, having endured emotional and financial hardship, and caring about the needs of citizens’ are all things that should matter to us as voters. But, these qualities are not unique to Ms. Wacker’s candidate. Indeed, all exist in abundance in Cindy Ryu.
I must add that simply because one has taken a physician’s oath, it should not make us feel that no harm could result from inexperience in legislative efforts. We need someone who can be effective and get things done.
Besides personal story and character, it’s extremely important for our elected officials to have relevant experience and proven track record. I have nothing but confidence in the Democrats’ Candidate for this seat in our State House of Representatives. Cindy Ryu has served the community well in so many ways in the past, and I will be proud to vote for her.
Cindy Ryu is the clear choice.

Absolutely! And Cindy has dozens of endorsements from Labor, Educators, Environmentalists, Women's groups, and many great individuals.
She has the experience, education and fortitude to do a great job for our community.
Mr Coday, has lots of good qualities perhaps, but experience with government,no! Has he ever showed up to participate in any civic event before her ran for office. Not that I've seen.
I've watched Ryu on Shoreline City Council and I did NOT like what I saw. I would suggest that anyone who is thinking about voting for her go back and watch some of those tapes. There was a reason she was replaced on City Council. She did a lot of dis-service to the City of Shoreline and I would hate to see her obtain more power to do more damage.
I hardly consider listening to citizens and acting in the public interest doing "damage." I call that making democracy work. Cindy Ryu is kind, smart, extremely capable, and has a wealth of experience both in business and in the public realm. She's got my vote!

Your comments are very general and vague. Could you give at least 2 or 3 examples of what you are referring to, and which part of what council meetings you saw "dis-service". I have not seen these yet, apparently.
It's too cute to hear D's in this race complain about Dr. Coday's inexperience for a state representatives office, when they put a complete neophyte (that means unexperienced new guy) in the Whitehouse!!!
