Parks, open space, recreation and cultural programs are key elements of a community's quality of life.
  • What programs and facilities will the Shoreline community need in 20 years?
  • How does the City prepare to meet these future needs?
In May 2005, the Parks, Recreation and Open Space (PROS) Plan was adopted to assist the City in building a framework for future maintenance and development of these facilities and programs within Shoreline. Now it’s time to update that plan.

The City and its Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services (PRCS) Board have begun reviewing the PROS Plan to prepare for the 2011 PROS Plan update. Community input is essential for a successful update to the plan. Please join the City on either October 5 or 14 to share your park, open space, recreation and cultural program ideas for Shoreline’s future.

Parks and Open Space Facility and Recreation and Cultural Program Visioning Meetings will be held on:
  • Tuesday, October 5, 7-9 pm, Shoreline City Hall
  • Thursday, October 14, 7-9 pm, Shoreline City Hall
For more information, visit the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan page or contact Parks Project Coordinator, Maureen Colaizzi at (206) 801-2603.

The Shoreline Parks department serves the City of Shoreline. The City of Lake Forest Park contracts with Shoreline for access to the programs and facilities of Shoreline Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services.
