Echo Cove Bypass and Echo Lake Trunk Replacement under construction

Ronald Wastewater District currently has the Echo Cove Bypass and Echo Lake Trunk Replacement under construction between Aurora Ave and the west shoreline of Echo Lake. Buno Construction, LLC is the contractor for both projects.

The Echo Cove Bypass project consists of installing approximately 900 feet 18” sewer mains around the perimeter of the Echo Cove Condominiums by open trench excavation to connect 2 existing sewer mains and reduce flows in the sewer main located directly below the Echo Cove Condominiums. When completed, the project will connect the sewer mains in Aurora Ave to the Echo Lake Trunk and reduce the flows under the Echo Lake Condominiums by over 90%. Once flows are reduced in the sewer mains under the buildings, the existing pipe under the buildings will be slip lined with 12” high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe. This project will include work within Aurora Ave.

The Echo Lake Trunk Replacement project consists of replacing over 2,000 feet of existing 14” and 15” sewer mains around and downstream of Echo Lake with 20” HDPE pipe installed by pipebursting. Additionally, work will include replacing up to 14 side sewer stubs and 19 side sewers at no additional cost to the property owners. Pipe will be replaced along the west and north shorelines of Echo Lake, between North 204th Place and North 205th Street and immediately south of North 205th Street at the King County Wastewater Ballinger Pump Station.
