Tent City is taking a fourth cycle in Shoreline with its establishment at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at 145th and 20th NE in Shoreline. Tent City is temporary housing for up to 100 homeless people, who live in tents on grounds provided by church groups, staying for three months at a time. There are two tent cities in King County, one on each side of Lake Washington. Each camp has a manager and a code of conduct for residents.

Tent City set up at Prince of Peace on March 27 and is scheduled to stay until June 26. In past years, Tent City was hosted by Calvin Presbyterian Church on 188th and 3rd NW, and once before by Prince of Peace in 2008. Its first location in Shoreline was at the Shoreline Free Methodist Church on NE 175th and 5th NE.

Other local organizations have helped Tent City residents with donations of food, clothing, household goods, and free haircuts.
