Shorewood, Shorecrest continue in District baseball tournaments

Shorewood continues District tournament play Monday, and Shorecrest plays a District semi-final game Tuesday.

Shorewood plays Lake Stevens in the Northwest District 4A tournament Monday evening after losing a first-round game to Kamiak 2-1 Saturday.

Shorecrest plays host to Glacier Peak in a District 3A semifinal at 4 p.m. Tuesday after beating Ferndale 5-3 Saturday.

Hayden McNabb and Matty Rohrback both hit home runs and Devin Abney hit two singles in Shorecrest’s 5-3 victory over Ferndale. Rohrback, the winning pitcher, struck out eight Ferndale batters.

In Shorewood’s 2-1 loss to Kamiak, Robbie Rusch accounted for the only run with a second-inning home run.
