The WORKS committee presented six Golden Hanger Awards at the annual Shoreline PTA Council Spring Dessert, Monday May 24 at the Shoreline Center.
Golden Hanger Awards are presented to groups for collecting over 500 product drive items or donating $500+ to the Shoreline PTA Council for The WORKS clothing room. Drives were done for new socks, underwear, boxers, and hygiene products.
The WORKS committee distributes these items to families in need within the Shoreline School District through the annual Back to School Event or on a family's first visit each year to The WORKS.
The committee presented Golden Hanger Awards for collecting over 500 product drive items to:
- Brookside Elementary
- Meridian Park Elementary
- Ridgecrest Elementary
- Syre Elementary
- Kellogg Honor Society
The Golden Hanger - Outstanding Local Unit Award was presented to Lake Forest Park Elementary for collecting over 500 items and making a financial donation of $500.00.
