The Scots won two of the four first-day boys’ finals contested Wednesday and two of four girls’ finals.
Three Shorecrest boys and two Shorecrest girls qualified for the State meet by finishing first or second in Wednesday events.
Boys who qualified for State Wednesday are David Cannon, first in the shot put; Jordan Brown, first in the long jump; and Sean Dever, second in the long jump.
Shorecrest girls who qualified are India Matheson, first in the discus throw, and Emily Corona, who was second in both the long jump and the javelin throw.
Thirteen boys’.and fourteen girls’ events will be on the schedule Friday. Including the boys’ pole vault, which was postponed Wednesday duke bad whether.
The Friday finals include six boys’ events and six girls; events that had qualifying heats Wednesday.
The top two finishers in each event qualify for the State championships in Tacoma May 27-29.
