SCC Women's tennis wins two, Men's tennis drops two

The SCC Women's and Men's Tennis Teams had different results this past weekend in Spokane, as the Lady Dolphins won two matches but their male counterparts dropped two matches.

The SCC Women defeated Treasure Valley CC 6-3 and CC of Spokane, 5-4. In both matches, SCC benefited from neither of the other teams having full squads, as versus TVCC, SCC was defaulted matches at #3 Doubles and #6 Singles. SCC won at #1 and #2 Doubles and #4 and #5 Singles to claim the victory. Against Spokane, SCC claimed defaults at #3 Doubles and #5 and #6 Singles, to give them a 3-0 lead before the match began. SCC won both #1 and #2 Doubles to claim the victory. The teams of Stephanie Eli and Christine Yang and Marina Lutsky and Blair Stone were undefeated over the weekend. Angel Mach and Blair Stone won singles matches against TVCC.

The SCC Men's Tennis Team dropped both matches to Treasure Valley and Spokane by 8-1 scores. Against TVCC, the #1 doubles team of Mike Stepenski and Soffie Reda won 3-6, 6-2, 7-6. Against Spokane, #2 Singles player Soffie Reda won 2-6, 7-5, 6-3.

The SCC women are 3-6 on the season, while the SCC men are 0-7. Both teams play Wednesday against Green River in the final match of the season. Start time is 2 pm at the Shoreview Park courts. Both teams travel back to Spokane over the weekend for the NWAACC Championships at the Community College of Spokane.
