The SCC Softball Team split with Bellevue College on Tuesday at Shoreview Park, but the Lady Dolphins are still in control of the NWAACC Northern Region. SCC's 16 game winning streak came to an end as well, but the Dolphins during that streak built a three game lead in the region and with six games to go, the SCC squad controls its destiny for the region championship.

In the first game, BC scored 2 in the top of the first to take the lead, but SCC came right back to the tie score in the bottom of the inning. Erika Potts hit a home run in the game and Kim Kocik took the win on the mound, as she limited the Bellevue team to 8 hits. SCC won the back and forth affair 5-4.
In the second game, Bellevue came out with the long ball, hitting three home runs as they defeated Shoreline 8-2 to break the Dolphins winning streak. But SCC defeated Bellevue 3 out of 4 games this season and now has the tiebreaker advantage of the Lady Bulldogs.
