The Shoreline Parks department shares the plans for the Richmond Beach Saltwater Park Bridge:

Bridge Repair:
The bridge was analyzed when we were preparing the Richmond Beach Saltwater Park Master Plan. Major repairs were identified. Planning is planned to begin in late 2010 to repair the bridge fence cage, bull rail and asphalt surfacing. BNSF (Burlington Northern / Santa Fe railroad) review is required and permits will be necessary because the bridge crosses their railroad property. Construction is expected to begin in late 2011.

Bridge Replacement:
The Saltwater Park Master Plan does identify the bridge to be replaced and possibly moved in the future. After the major repairs are completed in the next few years we will be able to identify when a replacement would need to occur in the future. There is currently no funding in the Capital Improvement Plan to replace the bridge.
