Monday, May 10
Metropolitan King County Council – 11:00 a.m.
- Councilmembers will recognize the state-award winning Kentridge High School Chatelaines Dance Team
- Councilmembers will recognize Team Seattle Racing and Patrick Dempsey for raising funds for Seattle Children’s Hospital (This recognition will take place at 1:30 p.m.)
Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:
- A motion accepting the recommendations of the Executive and Superior Court as presented in the report to the King County Council (Motion 2010-0264).
- A motion supporting the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Motion 2010-0221).
- A motion requesting the Executive develop an implementation plan calling for creating and managing community gardens on County-owned property (Motion 2010-0266).
- An ordinance regulating wheelchair accessible taxicab licenses (Ordinance 2010-0214).
Tuesday, May 11
Environment and Transportation Committee – 9:30 a.m.
Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:
- An ordinance for the October 2010 and February 2011 public transportation service improvements for King County (Ordinance 2010-0277).
- An ordinance authorizing agreements with cities for the disbursement of Conservation Futures Tax Levy funds (Ordinance 2010-0265).
Discussion only:
- An ordinance relating to adopting the shoreline master program (Ordinance 2009-0609).
Law, Justice and Health and Human Services Committee – 1:30 p.m.
Briefings:
- Preparing for the Next Flood Season—King County Office of Emergency Management’s efforts to prepare for Green River Valley Flooding (Briefing 2010-B0092).

Thursday, May 13
Budget and Fiscal Management Committee – 3:30 p.m. ***Special Meeting***
Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:
- An ordinance that would submit to voters a proposal authorizing an additional two-tenths of one percent sales tax for criminal justice and other general governmental purposes (Ordinance 2010-0273). The Committee will take public testimony on this item.
