June 15 Medicare Fraud, Shoreline Lake Forest Park Senior Center, 11:00 a.m.
Chewon Lee, from the WA State Office of the Insurance Commissioner, SHIBA HelpLine, will talk about Medicare Fraud. Every year $60 billion is wasted on Medicare and Medicaid fraud and abuse. Each of us can do something to prevent it from happening. Attend the Washington State's Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) program's presentation to learn how to protect your personal identity, identify and report errors on your health care bills and identify deceptive health care practices, such as illegal marketing, providing unnecessary or inappropriate services and charging for services that were never provided. Help us prevent, detect and report Medicare and Medicaid fraud.
Have you thought about doing some dancing? The Senior Center has some great opportunities for you to put on your dancing shoes or to take them off.

Interested in A Walking Group?
The Cities of Shoreline and Lake Forest Park have several parks with designed hiking trails or safe pathways. The City of Shoreline has listed 14 parks with hiking trails, while Lake Forest Park has published a booklet with “Tree Walks” to be discovered within the city.
The Senior Center is interested in finding a volunteer who would like to facilitate a walking group for those interested in participating. A facilitator would be responsible for helping find trails or pathways to walk/hike, keep a list of those interested or participating in a group, work with the program coordinators on the program, meeting and walking/hiking on the day designated as a Walking Group Day. Please call Jon Ann at 206-365-1536, Wed.-Fri to ask about this volunteer position.
