A second candidate plans to run for the State Senate seat that retiring Sen. Darlene Fairley now holds.
Kenmore City Councilman David Baker joins Democratic State Rep. Maralyn Chase as a candidate for the 32nd Legislative District senate seat that Fairley is vacating.
Chase told me Saturday that Baker had called her to tell her that he is planning to run against her.
Baker, who is currently presiding over the Kenmore Council as mayor, was the Republican candidate for the State senate against Fairley four years ago. Chase said that she expects other candidates to run but said she is ready. When I asked about various possible candidates, she said, "Bring 'em on."
