This week at the County Council: Meeting highlights

Monday, April 12
Metropolitan King County Council – 11:00 a.m.
--Councilmembers will recognize Olympic Medalist J. R. Celski

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:
· An ordinance relating to the development and use of electric charging stations at King County facilities (Ordinance 2009-0631).

King County Flood Control District – 1:30 p.m.
Board members are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:
· A resolution adopting the revised 2010 budget, capital budget, six-year capital improvement program and operating budget for King County Water and Land Resources (FCD 2010-30).

Tuesday, April 13
Environment and Transportation Committee – 9:30 a.m.
Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:
· A motion expressing the Council’s support for the preservation of currently unprotected areas of the Cascade Mountain Range (Motion 2010-0195).

Discussion:
· An ordinance relating to adopting the shoreline master program (Ordinance 2009-0609).

Law, Justice and Health and Human Services Committee – 1:30 p.m.
Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:
· An ordinance authorizing the execution of an amended interlocal agreement between King County and cities for jail services (Ordinance 2010-0168).

· A motion supporting the efforts of the King County Sheriff’s Office to create a proactive criminal activity assessment and prevention program (Motion 2010-0224).

Wednesday, April 14
