Announcing the 28th ANNUAL
LETTERS OF JOY CONFERENCE
presented by Write On Calligraphers
Write On Calligraphers is a non-profit arts organization based in Edmonds, Washington,
serving Pacific Northwest calligraphers and paper arts enthusiasts for more than thirty years.

Letters of Joy, a popular one-and-one-half day mini-conference, features a wide range of classes for all levels of calligraphers and paper arts enthusiasts as well as an evening keynote address, art supply vendors hall, an exhibit, and silent auction. There will be twenty-two teachers offering classes sampling everything from lettering to book making to encaustic painting.

The keynote speaker and featured instructor will be lettering artist and illustrator Georgia Deaver.

Deaver’s love of experimentation with line and color led her down an award-winning path as a lettering artist and illustrator. She has run her own studio in San Francisco since 1984, executing the full gamut of jobs—from hand-lettered envelopes to corporate signage on the hulls of airplanes. Exhibited both nationally and internationally, her art has won numerous awards from such organizations as Communication Arts and The New York Type Director's Club. She is also a member of the prestigious Society of Scribes and Illuminators. Known for her fresh, spontaneous line, Deaver is a popular teacher and speaker, appearing at workshops and conferences in the U.S., Canada, England, and Japan. Following the Letters of Joy Conference, Deaver will be teaching a two-day workshop in Edmonds.
