Shorecrest debate team wins at debate tournament

The Shorecrest High School debate team took first place and third place in Public Forum Debate at the Kamiak High School Debate Tournament in Mukilteo on February 5 and 6, as well as first place in Impromptu Speech and second place in Original Oratory.
 
Shorecrest now has secured two of the three spots at the State Debate Tournament in Public Forum Debate. The students are Sierra Alef, Maki Muilenburg, Stephen Lazaro and Max Reikosky. Also receiving bids to state are Skylar Shibayama for Impromptu Speech and Kelsey Josund for Original Oratory. 
 
The state debate tournament will be held at the University of Puget Sound in March.
