Melanie votes for the first time

Mel Thielman, a student at Shorewood High School who is recovering from a very serious motorcycle accident that put her in a coma for 5 months, voted for the first time this week. She wants everyone to know that if she can take the energy to vote, so can you. She also wants everyone to know that she voted YES for Shoreline Schools.Photo by Veronica Cook

Im so touched to be her caregiver now. As her and I are the same age, I hope to keep her smile going on forever and ever, like in the picture.
