The Shoreline Community College men's basketball team defeated Peninsula College 87-84 on Saturday afternoon in the SCC Gym. The battle between the two leading teams in the NWAACC Northern Region was a back and forth affair with Shoreline pulling ahead in the last two minutes and holding on for the victory. Sean Jones scored 22 points for SCC while Shawn West and Alfred Miller-Soukasen added 19 points each.
Shoreline is now 12-3 overall, 6-1 in the region and has a two game lead in the division. Shoreline finishes the first half of the region schedule on Wednesday night at Everett Community College at 7:00 PM. SCC plays at home again on February 6 against Olympic College.
