Get inspired! Find your inner artist! Create art! Artists in Action, local Richmond Beach professionals and you can interact this week, 10am - 3pm in the Shoreline City Hall Lobby.
Try your hand at Sumi painting with artist Ann Blanch on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10am - 2pm. Watch artist Amy Pleasant bring a generational painting to life as she creates new work in her lobby studio Tuesday through Friday (9am – 4pm). Ask questions. Tour the Gallery at City Hall!
ARTS CRUSH is an October-long regional celebration of all the arts facilitated by Theatre Puget Sound in collaboration with hundreds of artists and art organizations, and thousands of audience participants. ARTS CRUSH provides opportunities to connect with artists in unique and unexpected ways though theatre, music, literature, dance, visual art, film and more. There are hundreds of free events, special discounts and once-a-year interactive arts opportunities for all ages. A different art form is spotlighted each week.
The City of Shoreline is participating for the second year with this Artist-in-Action event during visual art week, October 3 - 7. Additional events throughout the Puget Sound region may be found at Arts Crush Join the fun and GET CRUSHED!

On a cold, clear moonless night in the middle of winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost’s residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.

Spindrift Art and Literary Journal has been publishing the work of students, local and regional artists and writers since 1965. Spindrift is the winner of numerous awards for best literary magazine at Seattle’s Bumbershoot Festival, as well as other regional and national awards.

And, Last Leaf Theater is presenting a Kids Crush event on the Third Place Commons Stage on October Saturday, October 22 1:00 - 2:00 pm free
As part of Arts Crush, Last Leaf presents "Town Mouse, Country Mouse". This original adaptation of the familiar fable is set in Spain, and is interactive fun for families and young audiences.
