Shoreline man charged in kidnapping and rape

The man who was arrested in a Crown Hill bar was identified by surveillance photos and the two woman who were attacked as one of the assailants in the kidnap and rape case of June 21 in north Seattle.

A Shoreline man — along with another man — kidnapped and raped a 20-year-old woman last week in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood, according to charging papers filed by King County prosecutors on Friday. Prosecutors charged Jose Jimenez-Lopez, 24, with rape in the first degree, kidnapping in the first degree and attempted kidnapping in the first degree, according to court documents.

He is being held on $1 million bail in the King County Jail. Police also suspect that Jimenez-Lopez, who is being held on immigration hold, was involved in three armed robberies, according to charging papers.
